University of Hawaii: Walter A. Dods Jr. Makes $5M Donation to RISE Center

MANOA, Hawaii, Oct. 9 -- The University of Hawaii Manoa campus issued the following news release:

Honolulu philanthropist and former First Hawaiian Bank Chairman Walter A. Dods Jr. is donating $5 million to the University of Hawai'i's new Residences for Innovative Student Entrepreneurs (RISE) at UH Manoa. In recognition of this momentous gift, the building will be renamed the Walter Dods Jr. RISE Center.
