TOWSON, Maryland, Oct. 6 -- Towson University issued the following news:

This week, Baltimore City Mayor Brandon Scott presented Alejandra Balcazar with a 2023 Hispanic Heritage Award. The award recognizes Balcazar's contributions toward advancing education in the Latine/x community.
