Today, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) issued the following statement after voting for a motion to vacate the chair and remove Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
"Kevin McCarthy won the Speakership by giving in to the extreme faction of his party, and he's held onto power up until now by bending over backwards . . .
