CHICAGO, Illinois, Sept. 30 -- Mayer Brown, a law firm, issued the following news:

Mayer Brown advised Houston-based independent offshore exploration and production company Talos Energy Inc. (Talos) on the sale of a 49.9% interest in Talos Mexico, the company's Mexican subsidiary, to Zamajal, S.A. de C.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Grupo Carso. Talos Mexico, now owned 50.1% by Talos and 49.9% by Grupo Carso, holds a 17.4% stake in the Zama field located in offshore Mexico.
