LA CROSSE, Wisconsin, Sept. 29 -- The Dairyland Power Cooperative issued the following news release:
Commuters passing by Dairyland's Genoa Site along Hwy. 35 will notice demolition activity on the main building of the retired 345 MW Genoa Station #3 (G-3) coal-fired power plant. Dairyland's main contractor for the G-3 decommissioning and dismantlement (D&D) project, Veit Co., has commenced demolition activities on the turbine hall portion of the plant.
