LOS ANGELES, California, Sept. 29 -- Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-California, issued the following news release on Sept. 28, 2023:

Alongside fast-food workers, labor leaders, and legislators, Governor Gavin Newsom today signed legislation increasing the minimum wage for fast-food employees to $20 per hour, beginning April 1, 2024.
