DEL RIO, Texas, Sept. 28 -- The U.S. Attorney, Jaime Esparza, for the Western District of Texas issued the following news release on Sept. 27, 2023:
A Temple, TX man was sentenced yesterday to 136 months in prison for conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in death.
According to court documents, between July 24, 2020, and July 26, 2020, Saul Benitez-Gonzalez, 22, conspired with Raul Perez-Benitez (indicted separately) and others to smuggle non-citizens from Me . . .
