Texas U.S. Attorney: Defendant in Fatal Tractor Trailer Smuggling Incident Pleads Guilty

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Sept. 28 -- The U.S. Attorney, Jaime Esparza, for the Western District of Texas issued the following news release on Sept. 27, 2023:

Christian Martinez, 29, of Palestine, TX, entered a plea of guilty today to multiple counts arising from a fatal tractor trailer smuggling incident.

Martinez pleaded guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Transport Illegal Aliens Resulting in Death; one count of Conspiracy to Transport Aliens Resulting in Serious Bodily . . .
