N.Y. U.S. Attorney: Texas Man Pleads Guilty to Conspiring With Former ValueWise CEO Michael Mann to Defraud Lenders

ALBANY, New York, Sept. 22 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York, Carla B. Freedman, issued the following news release on Sept. 21, 2023:

Derek R. Schwartz, age 54, of Coppell, Texas, pled guilty today to conspiring with former ValueWise CEO Michael T. Mann to defraud companies that loaned millions of dollars to ValueWise subsidiaries.
