BALTIMORE, Maryland, Sept. 20 -- The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation issued the following news release:
The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released state jobs and unemployment data today. According to the preliminary survey data, Maryland gained 12,400 jobs in August, the largest job growth since July 2022. The unemployment rate decreased to 1.7%. This is the seventh consecutive month of record-setting low unemployment for Maryland . . .
