CHICAGO, Illinois, Sept. 16 -- The American Bar Association issued the following news release and a letter on Sept. 14, 2023:
American Bar Association President Mary Smith sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee leaders Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Charles Grassley (R-IA) strongly supporting S. Res. 333, a bipartisan resolution to designate 2024 as the Year of Democracy and urging the Senate to pass it as soon as possible.
