PIERRE, South Dakota, Sept. 7 -- Gov. Kristi Noem, R-South Dakota, issued the following news release on Sept. 6, 2023:
Today, Governor Kristi Noem appointed Robert (Bob) Perry as Secretary of the Department of Public Safety (DPS). Craig Price, the current secretary, will retire from state government. Perry's appointment will be effective on September 22.
