SHEPHERDSTOWN, West Virginia, Aug. 30 -- Shepherd University issued the following news:
The George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War will present a lecture by Steven Cowie based on his book "When Hell Came to Sharpsburg: The Battle of Antietam and Its Impact on the Civilians Who Called It Home." The free talk will take place Thursday, September 21, from 7-9 p.m. at Shepherdstown Opera House, 131 W. German St., Shepherdstown.
