National Park Tourism in Virginia Contributes $1.88 Billion to State Economy

ATLANTA, Georgia, Aug. 22 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release:

A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 22,507,067 visitors to national parks in Virginia spent $1,246,900,000 in the state in 2022. That spending resulted in 17,662 jobs and had a cumulative benefit to the state economy of $1,880,500,000.
