COLUMBUS, Georgia, Aug. 12 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia issued the following news release on Aug. 11, 2023:
A federal criminal complaint charging a Columbus resident with forcibly assaulting two federal officers as they attempted to take him into custody last week was unsealed today.
