WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued the following dissent on Aug. 8, 2023, by Commissioner Mark C. Christie on a decision (Docket No. ER23-2033-000) involving ITC Midwest Abandoned Plant Incentive order:

I dissent because I see no compelling reason to grant ITC Midwest the Abandoned Plant Incentive right now.

There currently is pending in the Iowa state courts a challenge to Iowa' . . .
