WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release on Aug. 7, 2023:
The National Park Service (NPS) announced $3.4 million in grants today to 16 Indian Tribes and 28 museums to assist in the consultation, documentation and repatriation of ancestral remains and cultural items as part of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
