WASHINGTON, July 21 -- Rep. Kelly Armstrong, R-North Dakota, issued the following news release on July 20, 2023:
Today, Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) introduced H.R. 4764, the Honey Identification Verification and Enforcement (HIVE) Act, which would require the creation of a standard of identity for honey and update the labeling requirements for honey. North Dakota is the No.1 honey state, producing approximately $31.2 million pounds in 2022.
