ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 11 -- GCI, a telecommunications company, issued the following news release on July 10, 2023:
Wireless 5G service is expanding in Fairbanks! GCI, Alaska's largest telecom provider, recently upgraded its eighth 5G-capable wireless site in the Interior Alaska's largest community, extending the service throughout much of the city. GCI has invested approximately $5.2 million, so far, in its Fairbanks 5G deployment and expects to bring more 5G-capable sites online . . .
