WASHINGTON, June 24 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia issued the following news release on June 23, 2023:
A father and son were sentenced to prison today for assaulting law enforcement officers during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Their actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.
