WASHINGTON, June 23 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release on June 22, 2023:

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $599,999 in funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to West Virginia University (WVU) for research that seeks to integrate and retain more college students in the STEM fields.
