JACKSONVILLE, Florida, June 17 -- The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued the following news on June 16, 2023:
Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Jacksonville area added private sector jobs at a rate of 4.3 percent over the year in May 2023, an increase of 29,900 jobs. Unchanged over the year, the Jacksonville area's unemployment rate was 2.7 percent In May 2023.
