WASHINGTON, June 16 -- Rep. Benjamin Cline, R-Virginia, issued the following news release on June 15, 2023:
Today, Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA) introduced the No Welfare for the Wealthy Actto eliminate the Broad-Based Categorical Eligibility (BBCE) loophole in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and stop waste, fraud, and abuse within the food stamp program. This legislation would also require states to enforce the asset and income limits already in federal law.
