U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Thom Tillis (R-NC), and Alex Padilla (D-CA) and Representatives Doug LaMalfa (R-CA-01) and Mike Thompson (D-CA-04) introduced the bicameral, bipartisan Disaster Mitigation and Tax Parity Act, legislation that will exempt from federal taxes rebates that homeowners receive for hardening their homes against natural disasters.
