U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has awarded a $3 million Railroad Crossing Elimination (RCE) grant to the Butler County Transportation Improvement District to improve safety at two adjacent railroad crossings, Symmes Road and North Gilmore Road, in Fairfield Township.
