PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, May 31 -- Free Press, an advocacy group that is part of the media reform or media democracy movement, issued the following news release and letter on May 30, 2023:
On Tuesday, Free Press joined with allies in the Journalism Accountability Watchdog Network (JAWN) to give a vote of no confidence to The Philadelphia Inquirer after the newspaper failed to address numerous diversity, equity and inclusion issues and improve coverage of the city's BIPOC communit . . .
