WASHINGTON, May 25 -- Rep. Lloyd Smucker, R-Pennsylvania, issued the following news release:
Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) voted in favor of H.J. Res. 45, which would overturn the Biden administration's student debt bailout. H.J. Res. 45 passed by a vote of 218 to 203 and heads to the Senate for consideration.
The Biden administration's proposals are estimated to cost nearly $600 billion or roughly $3,500 per taxpayer, according to the National Taxpayers Union.
