U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas: Denton Physician Sentenced for Over-Prescribing Opioids

SHERMAN, Texas, May 20 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas issued the following news release on May 19, 2023:

A Denton physician has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs today.

Stanley Charles Evans, 63, pleaded guilty on Sep. 12, 2022, to conspiracy to distribute and dispense controlled substances and health care fraud and was sentenced . . .
