ATHENS, Georgia, May 13 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Southern Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
United States winter wheat production is forecast at 1.13 billion bushels, up 2 percent from 2022. As of May 1, the United States yield is forecast at 44.7 bushels per acre, down 2.3 bushels from last year.
