OLYMPIA, Washington, May 13 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Northwest Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
In Idaho, on-farm hay stocks on May 1, 2023 totaled 460,000 tons, down 13 percent from a year ago. May 1 stocks represent 9 percent of 2022 production. Disappearance from December 1, 2022 was down 2.0 million tons.
In Oregon, on-farm hay stocks totaled 230,000 tons, up 5 percent from a year ago. . . .
