AUGUSTA, Maine, May 12 -- The Maine House Democrats issued the following news release:
The Maine House voted unanimously Tuesday to enact legislation that would create a sales tax exemption for diapers. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Kelly Noonan Murphy, D-Scarborough.
Under the amended proposal, all diapers and diaper accessories, such as covers and pins, would receive the exemption.
