WASHINGTON, May 6 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release on May 5, 2023:

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that AmeriCorps has awarded $2,169,799 in State and National grants to three organizations in Southeast Ohio to support 138 AmeriCorps members. In addition to the awards announced today, AmeriCorps members supported by these awards are eligible for up to $715,009 in Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards to help pay for college, vocational traini . . .
