SALEM, Oregon, May 5 -- The Oregon State Legislature issued the following news release on May 4, 2023:
The Oregon House Democrats passed House Bill 2107 with a 34-25 vote, despite every Republican in opposition. This legislation expands Oregon's Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) system to the Oregon Health Plan, therefore giving additional power to the Oregon Health Authority - an agency who recently exhibited a mismanagement of state funds, as a state audit revealed.
