On Tuesday, the Maine Senate voted in support of a bill from Sen. Eloise Vitelli, D-Arrowsic, to support the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women. Maine's Commission is charged with improving opportunities and equity for Maine women and girls. The vote in support of LD 794, "An Act to Expand the Membership of the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women" was 21-13.< . . .
