WASHINGTON, May 3 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release and letter:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) called on Norfolk Southern to fix the Lake Avenue Bridge in Cleveland following numerous complaints of falling concrete and cast iron and failed past repair efforts by Norfolk Southern. Of the 20 rail properties owned by Norfolk Southern in the Cleveland area, 16 of them show signs of decay, including rusting support beams and crumbling concrete.
