WASHINGTON, April 27 -- Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Texas, issued the following news release:

Rep. Veasey voted against the harmful Republican-led debt ceiling scheme. Their extreme legislation will present Americans with a terrible choice: either House Republicans will wreck our economy or inflict cruel cuts that hurt everyday people.
