WASHINGTON, April 21 -- Rep. Mike Thompson, D-California, issued the following news release on April 20, 2023:
Rep. Mike Thompson (CA-04) released the following statement after voting against the Politics Over Participation Act, the Republicans' transgender and intersex sports ban.
"Last year, Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox vetoed a nearly identical bill to which the House voted on today, and I agree with him that this policy does not address the problem . . .
