KANSAS CITY, Missouri, April 14 -- Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Missouri, issued the following news release on April 13, 2023:
U.S. Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) called on Missouri Governor Mike Parson to protect state funding for public libraries in Missouri, following the Missouri House of Representatives' attempt to defund local libraries across the state.
In a letter to Governor Parson, Rep. Cleaver wrote:
