Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement at an open executive session on March 2, 2023, to consider the nominations of Daniel Werfel to be commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, Rebecca Haffajee to be assistant secretary of Health and Human Services, and Brent Neiman to be deputy under secretary of the Treasury:
