WASHINGTON, March 31 -- Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, issued the following news release on March 30, 2023:

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) will introduce the English Language Unity Act today. This legislation would establish English as the official language of the United States, require government functions to be conducted in English, and adjust requirements for naturalization by introducing a universal English language testing standard. The bill is co-sponsored by Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND).
