NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana, March 25 -- Rep. Troy Carter, D-Louisiana, issued the following news release:
Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-La.) was joined by other elected officials and community leaders to celebrate the completion of the first two "lighthouses" that will serve residents during extended power outages. Congressman Carter secured $3.8 million to help fund the project - the single largest community project funding in the nation for a solar-related project.
