LaLota Introduces Legislation to Protect Plum Island

WASHINGTON, March 16 -- Rep. Nick LaLota, R-New York, issued the following news release on March 15, 2023:
Rep. Nick LaLota (NY-01) introduced his first piece of legislation, the Plum Island National Monument Act. This bill would establish Plum Island, N.Y. as a national monument for the purpose of ecological conservation, historical preservation, and the discovery and celebration of our shared cultural heritage.
