Representative Andrew Clyde (GA-09) released the following statement after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) confirmed efforts to rename Lake Lanier and Buford Dam are currently paused:
"Less than an hour after my phone call this afternoon with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the USACE announced that it has halted its severely misguide . . .
