JUNEAU, Alaska, March 1 -- Gov. Mike Dunleavy, R-Alaska, issued the following news release:
The Alaska State Board of Education and Early Development has selected, and Governor Mike Dunleavy has approved Susan McKenzie as the new Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED). Heidi Teshner, who has served as Acting Commissioner since last July, will return to her previous role as Deputy Commissioner.
