WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy issued the following news release on Feb. 21, 2023:

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) today announced nearly $2.7 million for five research and development (R&D) projects that will help to accelerate national and international deployment of carbon management technologies that capture carbon dioxide (CO2) for permanent geologic storage . . .
