WASHINGTON, Feb. 20 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release and letter on Feb. 18, 2023:
U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and J.D. Vance (R-OH) sent a letter to the directors of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requesting additional information on plans to monitor East Palestine and the surrounding area for dioxins. Vinyl chloride combustion can create dioxins which are a group of pollutants . . .
