WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 -- The U.S. Department of Energy issued the following news on Feb. 10, 2023:

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today proposed new energy-efficiency standards for refrigerators and clothes washers that will lower household energy costs and significantly reduce pollution.
