NASHVILLE, Tennessee, Feb. 3 (TNSjou) -- Vanderbilt University Medical Center issued the following news:

More than a million people in the United States are living with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. One-fifth of them have been co-infected by the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which attacks the liver.

Curative drugs for HCV are available, but many people don't know they've been infected. And if they also have HIV, for which there is no cure, co-infection appears to accelera . . .
