Highway Safety Coalition Urges Unicameral To Keep Current Helmet Law

LINCOLN, Nebraska, Jan. 25 (TNSgov) -- The American Property Casualty Insurance Association posted the following news release:

A coalition of organizations announced strong opposition to a legislative proposal that would substantially weaken Nebraska's motorcycle helmet law, and therefore increase the number of deaths and traumatic injuries on the state's highways.

LB 91 would allow motorcyclists over the age of 21 to ride without a helmet, whereas current law requires . . .
