PORT ST. LUCIE, Florida, Jan. 21 -- Rep. Brian Mast, R-Florida, issued the following news release and letter on Jan. 20, 2023:
U.S. Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21) today raised concerns about the U.S. Army Corps' announcement that the Corps will schedule releases from Lake Okeechobee to the Treasure Coast. In anticipation of the 2023 rainy season, the Corps' is planning preemptive discharges to the St. Lucie River Estuary and the Caloosahatchee River Estuary.
